Introductions for a lifelong marriage, rooted in Catholic values
Mutually is an invite-only way to be introduced by someone who knows you both, with your family as involved as you’d like. It sits alongside values many Catholic families hold: marriage as a commitment for life, and family close at hand from the beginning.
Introduced by people who know you, with a lifetime in mind
In many Catholic families, across many languages and cultures, couples have long met through the people around them: a parent’s old friend, a cousin, someone who saw what two people might share before they did. Mutually keeps that shape, for people who hope for a marriage that lasts a lifetime and would rather take one introduction seriously than scroll through many. Nobody browses anyone. The people who know you describe your character in their own words, and an introduction is only made when someone who knows you both is willing to suggest it. So you meet someone who has already been seen clearly by the people who care about them, and who knows you’ve been seen the same way.
Your circle describes you
Three to ten friends and family describe your character from a private link. No app, no account, and each chooses who may see their words.
Someone who knows you both
An introduction is only made when a person who knows you both is willing to suggest it. Most ideas stop there, and that’s the point.
Both families have a part
For many Catholic families, a marriage joins two families, not only two people, and parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters hope to have a part in how it begins. Here they can. Your family and family friends can join your circle and describe who you are in their own words, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. The person you’re introduced to has been described just as carefully by the people who know them. Family offers insight, never a veto. You always choose. You can tell us the part you’d like your family to play, and if an introduction becomes something more, how your two families come to know each other is yours to shape.
Privacy, modesty and consent
Getting to know someone, and discerning whether there’s a future in it, takes time and quiet. Nothing here is on display, and the two of you go at the pace that feels right. If your faith matters to you, you can tell us privately: it needs your consent, it’s never shown to anyone, and you can remove it whenever you wish.
No public profile
No feed, no browsing, no directory. Nobody can look you up.
Photos stay inside an introduction
Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction, never on display.
Each answer is private
You each decide privately. Neither sees the other’s answer until it’s mutual.
One introduction at a time
Focus mode pauses new introductions while you get to know someone.
What Mutually is not
Mutually isn’t a Catholic service, and it doesn’t replace your family or anyone who already introduces people they care about. It works with them, not around them. There’s no browsing, no feed, and no scores or ratings. It’s open to adults of every faith and none, on the same terms, whether or not you’ve been married before and whether or not you have children. If your faith matters to you, it can matter here, privately.
What it costs
Free while we grow. Later, a simple membership for active Seekers, the people looking for an introduction. Connectors, and the family and friends who describe or vouch for someone, never pay. Nobody can pay to be seen.
Questions
As much, or as little, as you’d like. Parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins and family friends can be in your circle, describing your character in their own words, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. They offer insight, never a veto. You always choose, and you decide who’s involved.
Yes. Each of you decides privately whether to go ahead with an introduction, and Focus mode then pauses new introductions while you get to know one person. How you spend time together, and how quickly things move, is for the two of you to decide.
That’s your choice, and Mutually doesn’t steer it either way. If sharing a faith matters to you, tell us privately. It counts only when the other person has asked for the same, and it looks at the broad tradition each of you chose, Christianity for example, rather than one church within it. If you’re open to someone of another church, another faith or none, that’s respected just the same. Your faith is never shown to anyone, on a profile or in an introduction.
Yes, on exactly the same terms as everyone else. People who are divorced or widowed, and parents raising children on their own, are welcome here, and the people in your circle describe you as you are today.
No. Mutually is open to adults of every faith and none, on the same terms. This page describes how it sits alongside values many Catholic families hold: a lifelong commitment, family close at hand, and introductions made with care by people who know you.
No. There’s no public profile and nothing to browse, so nobody can look you up. The friends and family you invite to describe you will know you’re here, as will a Connector who suggests an introduction for you. Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction.

If this is how you’d hope to meet someone
Mutually is invite-only. Join the list and we’ll write when there’s room, and not before. The fastest way in is still a friend who’s already here.
