Faith and family
When your faith shapes how you hope to meet someone
Across many traditions, people have long been introduced by those who know them: family, friends, someone trusted on both sides. Mutually works that way, for everyone, and it’s invite-only.
Introductions through people who know you
No feed, no directory, nothing to scroll. An introduction starts with the people who know you best.
Your circle describes you
Three to ten friends and family describe your character from a private link. No app, no account, and each chooses who may see their words.
Someone who knows you both
An introduction is only made when a person who knows you both is willing to suggest it. Most ideas stop there, and that’s the point.
Family can be part of it
Parents, siblings, cousins and family friends can be in your circle, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. Insight, never a veto. You always choose.
Open to everyone. Your faith stays yours.
Mutually is for adults of every faith and none. If your faith matters to you, it can matter here, privately. And if it’s important to you that it doesn’t, that’s respected too.
You choose whether to share it
Faith is never required. If you tell us, it needs your consent, only Mutually sees it, and you can remove it any time.
It’s never shown to anyone
Not on your profile, not in an introduction, not to the people in your circle.
A shared faith counts only if you both ask
If sharing a faith matters to you, say so. It applies only when both people have asked for it.
In the light of particular traditions
Each of these pages describes how Mutually sits alongside one tradition’s values. It’s the same Mutually on every page, open to everyone.
- Bahá’íTwo people who choose each other, come to know each other’s character, and keep both families close.
- BuddhistIntroductions made with kindness, through family or friends, at your own pace.
- CatholicIntroductions with a lifelong marriage in mind, and both families part of the story.

Every tradition, and none
Not every tradition has a page here, and that says nothing about who is welcome. Mutually is the same for people of Confucian, Druze, Indigenous or traditional, Jain, Rastafari, Shinto, Taoist, Unitarian Universalist and Zoroastrian traditions, for people who are agnostic, atheist, humanist, or spiritual but not religious, and for anyone whose beliefs are their own. Whatever your tradition, or if you hold no religious belief at all, you’re welcome here on exactly the same terms. Mutually doesn’t rank, favour or set apart any faith.
Privacy, modesty and consent
Discretion is built in, not added on.
No public profile
No feed, no browsing, no directory. Nobody can look you up.
Photos stay inside an introduction
Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction, never on display.
Each answer is private
You each decide privately. Neither sees the other’s answer until it’s mutual.
One introduction at a time
Focus mode pauses new introductions while you get to know someone.
What it costs
Free while we grow. Later, a simple membership for active Seekers, the people looking for an introduction. Connectors, and the family and friends who describe or vouch for someone, never pay. Nobody can pay to be seen.
Questions
Adults of every faith and none, on the same terms. Faith can matter here if it matters to you, and stay out of it if it doesn’t.
Only to help decide who we consider for an introduction. A shared faith counts when both people have asked for it. It’s never shown to anyone and never written into an introduction.
Yes, as much as you’d like. Parents, siblings, cousins and family friends can be in your circle, describing who you are, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. They offer insight, never a veto. You always choose.
No. There’s no public profile and nothing to browse, so nobody can look you up. The friends and family you invite to describe you will know you’re here, as will a Connector who suggests an introduction for you. Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction.

If this is how you’d hope to meet someone
Mutually is invite-only. Join the list and we’ll write when there’s room, and not before. The fastest way in is still a friend who’s already here.
