Faith and family
Introduced through the people who know you and your family
For many Orthodox Christian families, marriage is meant for life, and a good introduction has long come through someone who knows both families. Mutually is an invite-only network that works the same way, and it’s open to everyone.
Through the people who know you, near and far
For many Orthodox Christian families, introductions have travelled through people for generations: a grandparent who has known another family for years, a godparent who watched you grow up, cousins and old friends spread across countries and continents. They know your character in a way no profile can, and Mutually is built around them. The people who know you describe you in their own words, each from wherever they live, and it takes someone who knows you both to suggest an introduction. If you hope for marriage, say so: intentions are among the first things we look at.
Your circle describes you
Three to ten friends and family describe your character from a private link. No app, no account, and each chooses who may see their words.
Someone who knows you both
An introduction is only made when a person who knows you both is willing to suggest it. Most ideas stop there, and that’s the point.
Room for the whole family
In many Orthodox Christian families, family reaches well beyond parents: grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, godparents, and the friends who became family long ago. Any of them can be in your circle, describing the person they know, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. They bring insight, never a veto. You always choose.
Privacy, modesty and consent
Where families have known one another for generations, discretion protects everyone. Nothing here is public, and you can take things at the pace that feels right.
No public profile
No feed, no browsing, no directory. Nobody can look you up.
Photos stay inside an introduction
Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction, never on display.
Each answer is private
You each decide privately. Neither sees the other’s answer until it’s mutual.
One introduction at a time
Focus mode pauses new introductions while you get to know someone.
What Mutually is, and isn’t
Mutually isn’t an Orthodox Christian introduction service, and it doesn’t replace family, godparents or anyone who already introduces people they care about. It sits alongside them. There’s nothing to browse, and no scores or ratings. We don’t ask about ethnicity or nationality, and we never introduce anyone on them. Mutually is open to adults of every faith and none, on the same terms: if your faith matters to you, it can matter here, privately. People who have never married, who are divorced or widowed, who are raising children, or who came to their faith as adults are all welcome.
What it costs
Free while we grow. Later, a simple membership for active Seekers, the people looking for an introduction. Connectors, and the family and friends who describe or vouch for someone, never pay. Nobody can pay to be seen.
Questions
As much as you’d like. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends can all be in your circle, each describing you from a private link. A parent can be a Connector too, if you invite them. They offer insight, never a veto: whom you meet, and whether it goes further, is always your decision. If you’d like your family closer to how you meet, tell us the part you’d like them to play.
Yes. Anyone who knows you well can be in your circle, and a godparent who has known you for years often sees what others miss. Each person writes from a private link, with no app or account, and chooses who may see their words. Now and then, someone in your circle may be asked whether, knowing you both, they’d make a particular introduction.
Yes. Introductions aren’t tied to one city or country. You tell us whether you’d prefer someone nearby, are open to someone elsewhere, or would consider moving. When a family is spread across several countries, the people who know you best may live far apart too, and every one of them can still be in your circle.
No. You each decide privately, and neither of you sees the other’s answer unless it’s mutual. The Connector who made the introduction knows it was proposed, but never learns who said what, and nobody else in your circle or family is told. An introduction that doesn’t go further simply closes, quietly.
No. There’s no public profile and nothing to browse, so nobody can look you up. The friends and family you invite to describe you will know you’re here, as will a Connector who suggests an introduction for you. Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction.

If this is how you’d hope to meet someone
Mutually is invite-only. Join the list and we’ll write when there’s room, and not before. The fastest way in is still a friend who’s already here.
