Faith and family
With family close, and the choice your own
For many families shaped by Hindu values, a marriage brings two families together, and the people who know you best have long had a part in how it begins. Mutually is an invite-only way to be introduced like that, through people who know you both, with the decision always yours.
Known on both sides before you meet
For many families, an introduction begins with someone who knows both sides: an aunt or uncle, a family friend, someone whose judgement both families trust. A word from them about a person’s character carries a weight no profile can, and from there the two people talk, take their time and decide for themselves. Mutually keeps that order. Nothing about you is passed around or put on a list for anyone to look through. The people who know you describe who you are, someone who knows you both suggests the introduction, and what follows is between the two of you.
Your circle describes you
Three to ten friends and family describe your character from a private link. No app, no account, and each chooses who may see their words.
Someone who knows you both
An introduction is only made when a person who knows you both is willing to suggest it. Most ideas stop there, and that’s the point.
Both families, each with a part
Your parents, siblings, cousins and family friends can be in your circle, describing who you are in their own words. A parent can be a Connector too, if you invite them, and be asked whether they’d suggest an introduction to someone they also know. The person you’re introduced to has been described just as carefully by the people closest to them, so each of you arrives already known. In your conversation with us, you can say what part you’d hope your families would play, and when and how the two families come to know each other is for the two of you to decide. Family brings insight, never a veto. You always choose.
Privacy, modesty and consent
For many families, discretion protects everyone’s good name. Nothing here is public, and when an introduction doesn’t go ahead, nobody is told who said what.
No public profile
No feed, no browsing, no directory. Nobody can look you up.
Photos stay inside an introduction
Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction, never on display.
Each answer is private
You each decide privately. Neither sees the other’s answer until it’s mutual.
One introduction at a time
Focus mode pauses new introductions while you get to know someone.
What Mutually is not
Mutually isn’t a matrimonial site or a Hindu service, and it doesn’t replace the relatives and friends who already look out for you. It sits alongside them. There’s nothing to browse, and no scores or ratings. We don’t ask about caste or horoscopes, and we never introduce anyone on them. Mutually is open to adults of every faith and none, on the same terms: if your faith matters to you, it can matter here, privately.
What it costs
Free while we grow. Later, a simple membership for active Seekers, the people looking for an introduction. Connectors, and the family and friends who describe or vouch for someone, never pay. Nobody can pay to be seen.
Questions
As large a part as you’d like. They can be in your circle, describing your character from a private link with no app or account, and a parent can be a Connector if you invite them. You can also tell us how you’d hope both families would be involved. They offer insight, never a veto: when an introduction is suggested, the answer is yours to give.
No. Everyone who is introduced here joins for themselves: each member is 18 or over, verified by phone, email and photo, and tells us in their own words what they hope for. A parent’s part is to describe their son or daughter from a private link, as one of their circle, or to be a Connector if invited. In either part, a parent never pays.
No. We don’t ask about caste, we don’t note it down if it comes up, and we never introduce anyone on it. We don’t ask for horoscopes either. An introduction rests on who you are, as the people who know you describe it.
Not through Mutually. You each answer privately, and neither of you sees the other’s answer unless it’s mutual. The Connector who suggested the introduction knows it was proposed, but never learns who said what, and we tell nobody else in your circle or in either family anything. An introduction that doesn’t go ahead simply closes.
Yes, on exactly the same terms as everyone else: Mutually is open to adults of every faith and none. Your circle describes the person you are today. What you each hope for about children is one of the first things we consider, and the rest of your story is yours to tell, when you choose.
No. There’s no public profile and nothing to browse, so nobody can look you up. The friends and family you invite to describe you will know you’re here, as will a Connector who suggests an introduction for you. Photos are only ever seen inside an introduction.

If this is how you’d hope to meet someone
Mutually is invite-only. Join the list and we’ll write when there’s room, and not before. The fastest way in is still a friend who’s already here.
